William Dougall records relating to Fair Oaks, California, [1892]-1903.

Correspondence, maps, photographs, portraits, printed material relating to William Dougall's property in the newly developed Sunset Colonies division of Fair Oaks, California. The correspondence includes copies of his letters to John A. Londenberg about the development of his two lots, and letters from Londenberg about the land and his water rights. There are two printed pamphlets, one an abstract of the title to the area, and another about the water rights of the development. There are two plat maps of his lots, and two larger maps of the entire Sunset Colonies development in Fair Oaks. Accompanied by portraits of William Dougall, his calling cards, and a photograph identified in pencil as "Ray Keith's house."

William Dougall was a prominent citizen of Joliet, Illinois, a doctor, past postmaster, active in the Republican party, and Captain of Company I, 13th U.S. Colored Infantry during the Civil War.
